Peter L. Penrod, Esquire, is a seasoned attorney with a commonsense approach to solving complex legal issues. Peter graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, and after receiving his Juris Doctor, he quickly made a name for himself in state government. He served as General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and Assistant General Counsel to the Governor. He has served on the Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and was later appointed Chair of the First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, where he advised the Governor on judicial appointments. In 2019, Peter joined the State of Florida’s Chief Financial Officer and served first as General Counsel and later as Chief of Staff. According to now Congressman Jimmy Patronis, “He’s got a legal mind like nothing I’ve ever seen.” Peter focuses his practice on litigation, employment matters, government consulting, and civil and family mediation.
